Why Choose Me?
Hello! My name is Emilie Plants. From the time I was old enough to take my first steps, I have been a natural born caretaker of animals.

Growing up, I was always asking my parents if I could add just one more pet to my managerie of cats, fish, birds, turtles, hamsters, and rabbits. Most of my beloved pets were rescued from our backyard, including a baby bird I bottle fed and a Mama cat who gave birth to a litter of kitties. I believe with every new animal who came into my life and sadly left, my heart grew a little bit bigger.

After high school, I earned a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications with a specialization in print journalism from Florida Southern College. After working for 5 years, I began the most important job of my life: motherhood.

It was during my time as a stay home mom that I followed my lifelong passion for animals and began volunteer work at an animal shelter. Caring for animals at the shelter and taking them to the area nursing homes to participate in pet therapy was the catalyst that prompted me to become a pet sitter.

It's been said to do what you love and you'll never work day in your life. This isn't just a job. It's my calling. There isn't a bad day. Sometimes I have to pinch myself because I get paid to spend my days surrounded by God's greatest gifts.

Although writing will always be a gift of mine, my gift for connecting with animals is one that can't be taught or learned.

Animals speak to us, if only we know how to listen. It is through caring for pets, both personally and professionally, that I have learned to speak their language.
They are so much more than pets. They're family. They deserve the same care and love.

In choosing me, you are placing your furchildren in safe and loving hands. I am reliable, and available to my clients, whether that be a vacation or on a day to day basis for those long working days or last minute needs and emergencies.

When I begin sitting for your family, you become apart of mine. Your furbabies are an extension of my own furbabies. I look forward to welcoming you to the family!
